We'd like to say a big "Thank You" to Evelien and Djo, and all the staff, at the Oriental Kwai Resort, near Kanchanaburi. We have been travelling to Thailand for many years now, although we'd never visited the Kwai area before. This stay was a lovely experience for us, as there were so many things to enjoy. We ate most of the time at the resort's small restaurant - delicious Dutch pancakes for breakfast! The snapper fish is excellent! Service is quick and pleasant - shy but charming young ladies take the orders and bring the food.

An excellent book is provided in all rooms (and a larger version in the lobby) of all excursions available from the resort. Apart from the war memorials, railway, and cemeteries, one can also swim with elephants! The resort will arrange all these - most efficiently - plus any onward transfers. There is also a useful bird book to identify all the species seen in Thailand, and Evelien and Djo can answer most other questions!
